Last Saturday at Legion Memorial Park in north Everett, The Brett Jensen Memorial Walk and Run 4 was held. The weather was perfect and the route down Alverson and Grand avenues was beautiful. Over 400 family and friends were in attendance to remember Brett, raise some funds for his scholarship foundation, and have some fun.

We would like to thank Everett Parks and Recreation and the Everett Police for assisting us in getting the venue and permits needed for this event. Also, a big thank you goes out to all the sponsors, the various individuals who donate to the silent auction, the Alverson and Grand neighborhoods, the football, cross country, and swim teams from Cascade High School, and all of the other participants. We greatly appreciate your generosity, support, and love.

Finally, we would like to thank our devoted walk and run committee who spend many hours volunteering their time. They not only participate in the planning phase, but are at the event to help set up and man the various stations. They greatly help to make this memorable time together possible.

Please visit brettjensen.wordpress.com to find out more about Brett's Walk and Run and the scholarship program.
