EVERETT — Paramedics on Tuesday afternoon rushed a 4-year-old boy to a Seattle hospital after the child was struck by a van in the parking lot of a south Everett apartment building.
The boy reportedly was seriously injured, Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
The accident happened just before 4 p.m. at Mariner Court Apartments in the 100 block of 124th Street SE.
The boy was riding a plastic tricycle in the parking lot when he was hit by the van, Hynes said. There were reports that van may have dragged the boy before stopping, she said.
Fire District 1 paramedics raced the child to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. An update of his condition was not immediately available.
The accident is under investigation by Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies.
