OLYMPIA -- Dozens of parents are expected to attend the Olympia School Board's Monday night meeting when it reconsiders removing boys' basketball coach Doug Galloway over a hazing incident in June during a camp at Western Washington University.
Parents can speak at the meeting, but the board will consider the personnel issue in private.
The Olympian reported a number of parents thought it was unfair not to renew Galloway's coaching contract.
The district said he failed to adequately supervise boys on June 29 when they were staying in a dormitory at the university. A campus police report said there was sexual contact when eight older boys stormed the room of three younger boys and wrestled them to the floor.
The Whatcom County prosecutor's office declined to file criminal charges.
