Associated Press
Published:
LONGVIEW -- Extreme wildfire danger has prompted the Weyerhaeuser Co. to close public access to its Washington and Oregon timberlands.
The company said Friday the closure would remain in effect until the areas receive adequate rainfall.
The Daily News of Longview reported that the closure affects tree farms in southwest Washington and in Oregon's Willamette Valley and several areas on the Oregon coast.
