Stealth re-sign Hill for 2013

When the 2013 National Lacrosse League season begins in January, the Washington Stealth will have Dean Hill, one of the team's offensive surprises in 2012, back in the fold.

The Stealth announced that they had re-signed the forward to a one-year contract on Monday. The deal is pending league approval.

Hill came to the Stealth as a free agent before the 2012 season and eventually played a significant role in the team's offense. He finished the season with 38 points (17 goals and 21 assists), his second highest point total in his seven-year NLL career.

"Dean had a successful season with us last year and after a very good summer culminating in winning the President's Cup, should be even more of a factor in 2013," Stealth general manager Doug Locker said. "Dean is a proven veteran scorer whom we are counting on moving into the upcoming season.

In his seven season, Hill has played for four teams (Minnesota, Rochester, Edmondton and Washington) and has 184 points (96 goals, 88 assists) and 173 loose balls collected. He is also a two-time silver medalist with the Iroquois Nationals at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in 2007 and 2011.
