EVERETT -- Detectives continue to investigate what caused a minor explosion Saturday in downtown Everett.

Someone reported hearing possible fireworks around 8:40 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Broadway.

Police found an explosive device tied to a power pole outside a business, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.

The device had been detonated. There was very little damage to the pole and there were no signs of a fire. No injuries were reported.

Police seized the explosive device for additional testing. The investigation remains open.
