Freeland man dies in 1-car crash

FREELAND -- A 21-year-old Freeland man died early Sunday morning after his car left the road and struck a power pole south of town.

The accident happened just after 2 a.m. on Fish Road, near the intersection with E. Garden Lane, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.

The driver, Daniel L. Torget, died at the scene.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
