Front Porch: Equestrian group seeks board members

A Coupeville nonprofit that teaches children and adults with disabilities how to ride horses seeks prospective board members.
Equestrian Crossings provides a variety of horsemanship activities to children and adults of nearly all ages, abilities and disabilities using certified instructors.
Students and volunteers at EqX come from as far as Lake Stevens and Bellevue. The 4-year-old group especially seeks volunteers with a background in finance or business.

Do you remember the storm of 1962? The 50th anniversary of the infamous Columbus Day storm of 1962, which injured hundreds and killed dozens, is approaching.
