BOTHELL -- Tires were slashed on more than two dozen vehicles as a Canyon Park apartment complex this weekend, Bothell police said.

The first person to report the vandalism was a woman who called AAA around 11:45 p.m. Saturday about her car having a flat tire, police Capt. Denise Langford said.

"When the tow truck went out, they found that the tire was punctured," Langford said.

Police officers checked the parking lot of the Canyon Pointe apartment complex on 1630 228th St. SE and found 27 vehicles with slashed tires, she said.

An investigation is underway. Bothell police are unaware of any similar tire-slashing vandalism in the area.

Anybody with information who might help solve the case is encouraged to call the Bothell police tip line at 425-487-5551.
