PORT ANGELES — The Coast Guard rescued an injured boater overnight from a sailboat about 13 miles west of Port Angeles.
The Coast Guard said a 53-year-old man was severely injured Tuesday night by the boom on his 40-foot sailboat at Crescent Bay.
A helicopter hoisted the man aboard and took him to Port Angeles with injuries to his back, ribs and both arms.
A 45-foot Coast Guard boat towed the sailboat to Port Angeles.
