Stealth acquires draft pick for Hartzell

The Washington Stealth traded transition player Kyle Hartzell to the Philadelphia Wings in exchange for a third-round draft pick (23rd overall) in this year's NLL draft the two teams announced on Friday.

The trade gives the Stealth five of the first 23 selections in the draft which is to be held in Toronto on Oct. 1.

"This is a good trade for all parties," Stealth general manager Doug Locker said. "Kyle gets to play closer to home and the Stealth gets another early draft pick in a deep NLL entry draft.

Hartzell spent all four of his NLL seasons with the Stealth after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2009.

The Stealth will pick No. 11, No. 12, No. 19, No. 21 and No. 23 in the first three rounds of the draft. They also hold the 30th overall and 48th overall picks this year.

The Wings and Stealth also swapped fifth round picks, Washington acquiring the Wings 2013 fifth round pick and the Wings getting the Stealth's fifth round pick (39th overall) this year.
