Summer ends this weekend, but there's still plenty going on. Here are some things to do:
Planning a wedding? Don't miss the Lynnwood/Everett Wedding Expo this weekend at Comcast Arena. There will be more than 1,000 gowns marked down between 20 percent and 70 percent, along with tips and trends in food, fashion, jewelry and decorations. The expo runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15. Read about it in our story here.
Harvest festival: Stanwood's Harvest Jubilee on Saturday includes music, a juried art show, sustainable agriculture talks, farm tours and a $5 pancake breakfast. The breakfast is at 8, and events run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Country Store parking lot and other locations; maps at www.harvestjubilee.org.
Wine and music in the alley: The Monroe Chamber of Commerce plans to host an outdoor wine tasting and live music festival from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the alley behind the chamber's Visitor Information Office, 111 W. Main St. Find details here.
Folk sounds: Free folk concerts return to the Everett Public Library starting Sunday at 2 p.m. For the first concert, Carl Allen and Bill Murlin tell the story of Woody Guthrie's 30-day songwriting stint with the Bonneville Power Administration. Read more about the series here.
Listen up: Whatever your speed, there's music for you on Saturday. The Shins return to Seattle; a hard-rock festival will blast the White River Amphitheatre at the Uproar Festival; and Jason Mraz plays the Gorge. Get the details on those and other shows here.
