    Everett goalkeeper Leland Irving makes a save while on his back during a 2007 game. Irving re-signed with Calgary this year and is looking to earn the back-up job with the Flames.

Zach Hamill

Position: Center
Hometown: Port Coquitlam, B.C.
Years in Everett: 2003-08

As a Tip: Still holds Everett's records for points in a season (93 in 2006-07, when he won the league's scoring title) and a career (262 in 250 games). Was selected eighth overall in the 2007 NHL draft by the Boston Bruins.
Last season: Spent the season yo-yoing between Boston and the Bruins' AHL affiliate in Providence. With Boston he had two assists in 16 games, with Providence he had eight goals and 13 assists in 41 games.
This season: Was traded in the offseason to the Washington Capitals in exchange for winger Chris Bourque. Will be hoping to break through as an NHL regular with the Capitals.

Leland Irving

Position: Goaltender
Hometown: Swan Hills, Alberta
Years in Everett: 2003-08

As a Tip: Spent three seasons as Everett's No. 1 goaltender, setting franchise records for career wins (107) and shutouts (21). Was selected 26th overall in the 2006 NHL draft by the Calgary Flames.
Last season: Made his NHL debut as an injury call-up, going 1-3-3 with a 3.19 goals against average and .912 save percentage in seven games. Also went 22-13-2 with a 2.67 goals against average and .902 save percentage for Calgary's AHL affiliate in Abbotsford.
This season: Re-signed with the Flames on a one-year contract. He's hoping to earn the back-up job behind Calgary No. 1 netminder Miikka Kiprusoff.

Peter Mueller

Position: Center
Hometown: Bloomington, Minn.
Years in Everett: 2005-07

As a Tip: Was Everett's main offensive threat during his two seasons, tallying 47 goals and 89 assists in 103 games. Was seleted eighth overall in the 2006 NHL draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.
Last season: Plagued by concussion-related injuries for three seasons, he returned late last season to post seven goals and nine assists in 32 games with the Colorado Avalanche.
This season: Signed as a free agent with the Florida Panthers, with whom he's hoping to break into the top-six forwards -- and maintain his health.
