Edmonds CC hoop standout to play at UW
Overstreet, a 5-foot-9 guard, played at Edmonds Community College the past two seasons. He graduated from Venice High School in California in 2009.
Overstreet averaged 13.9 points, 2.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 21 games with the Tritons last season. He shot 32 percent from 3-point range and 35 percent from the field overall. He scored 20 or more points five times, including a 42-point effort in an overtime win over Shoreline.
In his first season at Edmonds, Overstreet averaged 5.6 point, 2.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Before embarking on his basketball career, Overstreet worked as an actor. At the age of 7 he appeared in commercials for AT&T, Burger King and McDonalds. He also has made appearances on such television shows as "Talk Radio", "Ellen", "Bernie Mac", "Moesha" and "Malcolm in The Middle".
Overstreet joins Quinn Sterling as the second walk-on for the Huskies this season.
Washington opens practice Oct. 12.
