EVERETT -- A man found dead at the Snohomish County Jail on July 3 died of natural causes, officials said Monday.
Michael R. Saffioti, 22, of Mukilteo, died from bronchial asthma, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.
The Snohomish County sheriff's Major Crimes Unit also has been investigating the death, one of at least six at the jail since 2010.
Saffioti was arrested on a warrant July 2 and asked for medical attention from jail staff around 7:20 a.m. July 3, police said.
Corrections officers started CPR and called 911. Saffioti was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he died.
According to court records, Saffioti had a history of serious allergies and respiratory problems.
