LONGVIEW -- All five adopted children of a Longview couple who were convicted of starving and abusing two of them will remain in foster care.

The Daily News reported that a trial in Cowlitz County Juvenile Court last week ended with Jeffrey and Rebecca Trebilcock agreeing to the foster care. More hearings will be held to determine the permanent custody of the children. They were between 8 and 13 years old in May of last year when the Trebilcocks were arrested.

They were convicted in July of criminal mistreatment. He was sentenced to more than five years in prison and she was sentenced to more than eight years.
