In the fall it features the lovely bell-shaped flowers, followed by green-bronze foliage in the winter. It is a delight for all seasons.
Sun or shade::The most striking color display for Red Fred is achieved in full sun, but it will tolerate some shade.
Size:/b> It is a perfect front-of-the-border plant, not only for the attention the colors draw, but also because of its size. Red Fred grows approximately 1 foot high by 1.5 feet wide and creates a soft mound of color all year long.
See it:At the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett; on the western side of the parking lot along the Urban Tree Walk.
