The art of pumpkin hunting at Everett's Schack Art Center

Pick a pumpkin that will last a long time -- if you're careful -- at Schack-toberfest this weekend at Everett's Schack Art Center. The weekend features a glass pumpkin patch, glassblowing demonstrations and "Make It Now" glass pumpkin classes in the hot shop.

The art and harvest-themed festival runs from 10 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28; 10 to 5 p.m. Sept. 29; and noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at Schack, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

For Saturday and Sunday, planned events include pumpkin carving demonstrations, artist painting demonstrations and kids' activities of decorating fall cookies, painting vegetables and more. Read more about the event and the classes in our preview story here.
