Associated Press
YAKIMA -- Firefighters used a chainsaw to cut through the side of a burning mobile home in Yakima to rescue a man.
The fire department says the man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition with smoke inhalation.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported the man was trapped in a bedroom Tuesday evening when firefighters arrived, so they used a chainsaw to cut a bedroom window to the floor.
A dog died in the fire.
