Gregoire is on a 10-day trade mission to India and South Korea to meet with government officials and business leaders
Gregoire, who talked with reporters by phone from Hyderabad on Wednesday, said she has signed a sister-state agreement with the chief minister of the state of Andrah Pradesh, which in part pledges that the two states will work together on developing trade and investment opportunities.

Also Wednesday, Gregoire said she, along with officials from Seattle-based global health organization SightLife, helped open a new corneal tissue cutting center at the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India. The center will provide advanced eye surgeries for thousands of people a year.
