Two men injured in Mountlake Terrace bar fight

Two men were transported to a Seattle hospital after a fight outside of a Mountlake Terrace pub early Thursday morning.

A Mountlake Terrace man, 32, was critically injured after he was kicked and stomped on behind the business in the 21900 block of 66th Avenue W, Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen said.

“He has significant head injuries,” Hansen said. “He was not able to talk to us.”

A Mountlake Terrace man in his 20s suffered knife wounds and also was taken to Harborview Medical Center. His condition was not immediately available.

The altercation reportedly began after an argument about a woman, Hansen said. It was reported around 1:40 a.m.

Initially, two men went outside the tavern and both were armed with knives, he said.

The man who was injured had come to his brother's aid. Two Mountlake Terrace men also joined the fray.

Two men were arrested for investigation of first-degree assault.

The case remains under investigation, Hansen said.
