EVERETT — A Boeing Co. employee was recovering at home Thursday after being seriously injured in an industrial accident at the Everett plant the night before.
Emergency crews were summoned to the plant about 7:15 p.m. for a report of someone being trapped in a machine, officials said.
Crews freed the man from the machine and transported him to Paine Field.
He was taken from there by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was released from the hospital Thursday morning, a Boeing spokesman said.
The incident happened at the Everett 40-56 building.
No further details will be released, according to a Boeing statement.
“We are deeply concerned any time one of our employees is injured,” it read. “We take very seriously the safety and well being of our employees at all times, and will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
