EDMONDS -- Two Edmonds men were arrested Tuesday in connection with a series of robberies in Snohomish and King counties, one of which involved a sexual assault.

Detectives believe the men, 34 and 35, are responsible for robbing up to 20 people at gunpoint in recent months, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

About eight of the robberies happened in Shoreline in recent weeks. In one of those, a woman was robbed, kidnapped and sexually assaulted as she got out of her car in a parking lot.

At least one of the robberies happened in Mountlake Terrace in late August outside the Red Dragon Casino, according to police.

The suspects were pulled over by Shoreline police on Tuesday and booked into the King County Jail.
