50 years ago (1962)

Twig Shop birthday party chairwoman Helen Carter and Lois Maulsby, Twig Shop manager, admired some of the items to be offered at the all-day sale in the lounge of the Jordan Home of Everett General Hospital next week. Coffee and cake would be served.

Michelson Steel and Supply was combining its two sales outlets under one roof. Riverside Junk, at 2520 Hewitt Avenue, had been sold. The entire Michelson business was now at 32nd and Hill streets. Moe and Jerome Michelson said they could better serve their customers this way.

25 years ago (1987)

Everett Suzuki had again been awarded the national Super Service Award, U.S. Suzuki's highest honor for its service departments. This was the fourth year in a row Everett Suzuki had received the award.

An investor's workshop was scheduled for Oct. 15 at the Tulalip Inn in Marysville. Century 21 Market Place Realty Inc. and Cascade Savings & Loan Association were sponsoring the workshop which would review investment opportunities in Everett, Maysville and Arlington emphasizing areas that were experiencing appreciating of property values.
