MARYSVILLE — Austin Joyner had six carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns to lead Marysville Pilchuck to a runaway Wesco 3A North win. Kacey Walker was close behind with seven carries for 124 yards and a TD for the Tomahawks.
Marysville Pilchuck had 507 rushing yards and went 3-for-3 passing for 103 yards to give the Tomahawks 610 yards of total offense. Eight Tomahawks had touchdowns, including Alex Gray with a 40-yard interception return. Stanwood’s lone TD was scored by Drew Wright on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Spartan’s Laurence Wanambisi was taken off the field after a kickoff return in the second quarter. He has a concussion and potentially a separated shoulder and was taken to the hospital for a CAT scan and MRI, according to Stanwood head coach Doug Trainor.
