BOTHELL — A man was hospitalized after being hit by a sport utility vehicle while trying to cross the Bothell-Everett Highway on Friday night, the Washington State Patrol said.
The crash occurred at 9:25 p.m. north of Thrashers Corner.
The 56-year-old Bothell man was trying to cross the highway from east to west in a marked crosswalk when a southbound Chevy Tahoe hit him, Trooper Keith Leary said. An ambulance took him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with what troopers described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 46-year-old Bothell man, stopped and stayed at the scene, Leary said. Troopers were investigating whether the driver was using alcohol at the time of the crash.
