Perpetual Help of Everett splashed through the Bremerton mud yesterday to an 18-0 Northwest Catholic Junior High School Football League victory over Star of the Sea. Ed Gerdon scored all three touchdowns. Bob Rose, Bill Grover and Steve Doleshel were defensive standouts. Brian Rieggers displayed sound blocking.

25 years ago (1987)
Keith Hall, owner of Irene's Archives antique shop at Hewitt and Lombard avenues, was appearing in the CBS game show "Sale of the Century," to be aired Friday on Channel 13. As the show's champion, he won a trip to Switzerland.
Herald food and home editor Ann Beckman won a national first place award in food-column writing for work done in 1986. The award was announced this week in New Orleans by the Newspaper Food Editors and Writers Association.
