The best games of the week

Volleyball: Kamiak at Jackson, 7 p.m.
Both teams are 4-0 in league and this match will likely decide the league champ ... and if any team can knock off the Timberwolves before the state tournament.

Volleyball: Glacier Peak at Meadowdale, 7 p.m.
The Grizzlies (3-0 3A South, 8-1 overall) are off to a great start in league play and the Mavericks are right behind them (2-1, 6-3). This match was a five-set thriller a year ago and could be the final stumbling block for Glacier Peak if it's going to win the 3A South.

Girls soccer: King’s at Archbishop Murphy, 6 p.m.
The Wildcats are off to a 9-0 start in Cascade Conference play but the Knights (8-1) aren’t far behind.

Boys tennis: Shorewood at Stanwood
These are the top two tennis teams in Wesco 3A and is a de facto championship match. Stanwood (11-1 3A North, 14-1 overall) is led by No. 1 singles player Jonathan Wolf, who is 14-1 this season.

Girls soccer: Monroe at Snohomish, 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers, who lead Wesco 4A North by six points, starts its second run through its league schedule with this game against second-place Monroe.

Football: Mariner vs. Kamiak, 7 p.m.
The Mukilteo School District rivals do battle in a game that could have a big effect on the Wesco 4A South standings. Sitting at 1-2 in league, Kamiak is in a must-win situation if it wants to make the playoffs. If Mariner wants to win the 4A South it must beat the Knights.

Football: Arlington at Monroe, 7 p.m.
The scrappy Bearcats are off to a 2-0 start after coming from behind to beat Snohomish last Friday. A win in this game could all but lock up the Wesco 4A North title. Arlington needs to win Friday to keep its hope alive for a league championship.
