In response to the letter, “Where’s work program for poor”: His letter is well taken, in spite of the response found in the letter, “Program for poor called Work First.”
Yes, most of us have heard of the Work First program, but is this program a big success? I doubt it. What kind of job would you be “required” to accept under this program? Maybe working at the dollar store for $9.04 an hour and getting maybe 10-20 hours a week and, of course, no health insurance and, (no jobs out there.)
Yes, the president lives in a big house, has servants, uses his own official plane, etc. I think most people know that.
However, Obama was a rich man before he took office, and, in spite of his ravings to be “helping” the poor, is it really happening? How many low-income people in Everett can say, “Yes, Obama helped me, I have proof.”
What can be done? “Can” the president in November, and tell him not to let the door hit him on the way out.
