Pair struck by car in Edmonds hospitalized

EDMONDS -- A Kitsap County man and woman are expected to survive after being hit by a car in Edmonds on Wednesday morning.
The collision happened just after 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue W., Edmonds police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.
A 25-year-old Lynnwood woman was making a turn when she struck the man, 65, who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, Blackburn said. The man was pushed into the woman, 63, and both were knocked to the ground.
They were taken to a local hospital. The driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
