Monday lunchtime links

Pete Carroll will hold his usual Monday press conference in a couple of hours, but in the meantime, here's a bit of reading to get you through the afternoon.

At The Herald we had this game story looking at the Seahawks' wild comeback against New England.

There was also a column from me on Russell Wilson's breakout game and Todd Fredrickson wrote about Seattle's defense stepping up late in the game after giving up a lot of points early, and had a notebook leading with Seattle's improvement in the red zone.

Also, be sure to click through Jennifer Buchanan's photo gallery, which has lots of good stuff from the game.

Yahoo Sports' Mike Silver was at the game, and he also wrote about Russell Wilson stepping up his game., noting "It's kind of crazy to consider that less than two weeks earlier, Wilson was seemingly in danger of being deep-sixed, at least in the eyes of a skeptical public... Wilson responded with a 19-for-25, 221-yard passing performance in a 16-12 victory over the Panthers last Sunday, though he threw a pair of interceptions, including one that was returned for Carolina's only touchdown. After rallying the Seahawks from a 23-10, fourth-quarter deficit on Sunday, Wilson seems to have won the locker room in conclusive fashion."

And on a related note, if you ever hear about Silver being on hand for a Seahawks game, be prepared for some craziness. Silver was also on hand for the Monday Nigh game against Green Bay, and in his first trip back to Seattle since that game, we saw the Seahawks improbably erase a 13-point deficit in the final quarter.

Pete King of Sports Illustrated also also writes about Wilson and the Seahawks in his weekly Monday Morning Quarterback column (which is a great read every week).

And for the view from the other sideline, there is lots of good reading from the Boston Globe available here.
