Prep girls soccer: Sultan 2, South Whidbey 1 (2 OT)

SULTAN -- Mallory Hockett scored in the second overtime period to get Sultan the Cascade Conference win. Sultan scored first on a Jessica McCann goal in the 20th minute. That 1-0 lead held for most of the game until Lindsey Grimm scored for the Falcons in the 73rd minute. Midway through the second overtime Sultan won the ball and played it forward. Hockett got the cross, took a touch and pitched the ball in over the keeper for the win.

Goals--Jessica McCann (Sultan), Lindsey Grimm (SW), Mallory Hockett (Sultan). Assists--not reported. Goalkeepers--South Whidbey: Ellie Greene. Sultan: Carley Nelson. Records--South Whidbey 4-8-0 league, 4-9-1 overall. Sultan 2-10-0, 3-11-0.
