Prep volleyball: Shorewood 3, Meadowdale 2

SHORELINE -- In a battle of the top two teams in the Wesco 3A South, Shorewood--behind the 22 kills and 35 digs of Monica Postor--would defeat Meadowdale in five sets, 28-26, 17-25, 26-28, 25-19, 15-7, to clinch the Wesco 3A South division title.
Assisting Pastor for the Thunderbirds (7-1, 11-3) were senior setter Marianne Kellogg who finished with 52 assists and 14 digs, and freshman outside hitter Delaney Hopen's 11 kills and 21 digs.
The Mavericks were led by libero Amy Rickel who would end up with 43 digs in the loss.

Shorewood: Monica Postor 22 kills, 35 digs; Joely Shepard 24 digs; Delaney Hopen 11 kills, 21 digs; Stephanie Vollbrecht 10 kills, 4 blocks; Marianne Kellogg 52 assists, 14 digs. Records--Meadowdale 5-2 league, 9-4 overall. Shorewood 7-1, 11-3.
