EVERETT -- A Snohomish County Superior Court judge signed off Thursday to again move legal questions about a recall effort targeting County Executive Aaron Reardon to Skagit County.
Reardon's attorney agreed to the change of venue, as did the Gold Bar blogger and attorney who has been pursuing the recall. Judge Anita Farris signed the order.
The recall effort from blogger Anne Block accuses Reardon of using county cellphones and staff time for political fundraising. In Washington, a recall petition must present evidence that an elected official misusing his or her office.
The target of any recall is given the opportunity to challenge its legal validity in court.
If the scenario playing out now sounds familiar, that's because it is.
A similar recall petition was dismissed in August, after being moved to Skagit County Superior Court, because Block failed to state her case for the recall under oath. A second recall attempt was withdrawn because of scheduling conflicts.
