How you can improve life for bats, more

Want to have your very own bat in your belfry? Well, not exactly living with you.
You can adopt one of these creatures of the night by donating to Defenders of Wildlife.
The organization will use contributions to work to protect habitat and, in the case of bats, to fight bat diseases and the fear that bats engender in many people.
Not crazy about those useful creatures? Adoption options include wolves (active at night), frogs (some are nocturnal) and owls (hunt in the dark).
To find out more about the organization and how you can be a part of it, call 800-385-9712 or go to their website, www.defenders.org.
