Police are continuing to investigate the death of the south county woman, 80.
The daughter, 42, was taken into custody, but could remain in the hospital for a few more days, Bothell police Capt. Denise Langford said Monday.
Bothell police were called to a home in the 3300 block of 228th Street SE around 5 a.m. Saturday.
They were met at the front door by the daughter who lives at the mobile home. She had requested medical assistance.
Patrol officers were concerned about statements the woman made, and the officers determined they needed to check the welfare of anyone else inside the residence.
Officers found the woman's mother, who had severe traumatic injuries, Langford said.
Medics were called but the elder woman died at the scene.
