Where: Everett Memorial Stadium

Records: Tahoma (5-3 SPSL 4A North, 5-4 overall). Jackson (5-0 Wesco 4A South, 8-1 overall)

Scouting report: Tahoma is the typical middle-of-the-pack team, beating the teams it was supposed to and losing (usually big) to the teams that we’re in the upper echelon of the SPSL. Running back Damon Funk leads the Bears attack.

Meadowdale vs. Eastside Catholic

When: Saturday night, 7 p.m.

Where: Eastside Catholic H.S.

Records: Eastside Catholic (4-0 Metro, 9-0 overall, ranked No. 2 in AP poll). Meadowdale (3-1 Wesco 3A South, 7-2 overall)

Scouting report: Eastside Catholic is unbeaten but the Crusaders have only one win that impresses: An Oct. 12 win over No. 6 O’Dea. EC is led by quarterback Trey Reynolds on offense and linebacker Zane Allen on defense.

Mountlake Terrace vs. Kennedy

When: Saturday night, 7 p.m.

Where: Highline Memorial Stadium

Records: Kennedy (6-0 Seamount League, 7-1 overall, ranked No. 8 in AP poll). Mountlake Terrace (2-2 Wesco 3A South, 5-4 overall)

Scouting report: Kennedy dominated a weak Seamount League and really only had one legitimately good win, a 26-20 victory over Kingco 4A Roosevelt. In the season opener, Kennedy ws crushed by Mount Si, which is no shame since Mount Si is the No. 3 team in the state and has only lost to Bellevue. Kennedy is led by quarterback Conner Richardson and running back Colin Cossette.

Where: Quil Ceda Stadium

Records: Mountain View (3-2 Greater St. Helen’s League, 5-4 overall). Marysville Pilchuck (4-0 Wesco 3A North, 7-2 overall, ranked No. 10 in AP poll)

Scouting report: Mountain View backed into the playoffs and the GSHL No. 3 seed, losing to Kelso and Columbia River in its last two games. Mountain View may also be without its star running back Austin Mace, who was injured late in the team’s loss to Columbia River last Friday night.

Kentlake vs. Lake Stevens

When: Saturday night, 7 p.m.

Where: LSHS Football Field

Records: Kentlake (5-3 SPSL 4A North, 6-3 overall). Lake Stevens (3-1 Wesco 4A North, 7-2 overall)

Scouting report: Kentlake can put up points that’s for sure. The Falcons were involved in a game that had a total of 131 points and more than 1,600 total yards of offense — a victory over Puyallup. Before losing to rival Kentwood in season finale, Kentlake had won three straight to make its playoff push, including a win over fellow playoff rival Tahoma 49-22. Kentlake is led by quarterback Steffin Church, who has thrown for 1,863 yards and 25 TDs. He’s also accurate, completing almost 60% of his passes and just five interceptions.
