It's hard to top mountaineer John Roskelley.
If it's vertical and challenging, chances are he has climbed it.
The Spokane high-altitude climber will talk about his adventures at the Everett Mountaineers Awards Banquet on Nov. 10. at the Medallion Hotel in Arlington.
The banquet is open to the public.
Roskelley will present "Classic High-Altitude Adventures" with recollections of his climbs of Great Trango Tower, Gauri Shankar, Cholatse and Uli Biaho along with new routes on Nanda Devi, Tawoche and K2.
Roskelley's books include: "Nanda Devi: The Tragic Expedition," "Last Days" and "Stories off the Wall." These are reprinted together in "The Roskelley Collection," with essays that recount later adventures in Canada, Tierra del Fuego and Tibet.
Cost is $34, and includes dinner. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. The program starts at 6 p.m.
The Medallion Hotel is at 16710 Smokey Point Blvd.
The Mountaineers is a nonprofit outdoor activity and conservation organization.
