Prep boys soccer: Bear Creek 2, Providence Classical Christian 1 (SO)

EVERETT -- Bear Creek edged Providence Classical Christian 8-7 in a shootout to win the 1B/2B Bi-District championship. Cole Butaud scored in the 32nd minute to give Providence Classical Christian the lead, but Luke Blankenbeckler answered in the 63rd to tie the match. The Highlanders will play Grace Academy on November 10 in the first round of the state playoffs.
At Everett Memorial Stadium
Goals--Cole Butaud (PCC), Luke Blankenbeckler (BC). Assists--Aidan Walsh (PCC). Goalkeepers--Providence Classical Christian: Daniel Mathiason. Bear Creek: Michael Worley. Records--Providence Classical Christian 12-6 overall. Bear Creek not reported.
