"We'll know later," Carroll said of Wright. "We've got to give him a couple of days to figure it out. The process is already underway, the testing and the stuff that's going on, and we'll know more on Wednesday.
On Carpenter, Carroll said, "Same circumstance as K.J. really. That one popped up late last week, so he'll be going through the process and the testing and all of that, and we'll know more in couple of days."
Carroll wouldn't rule out those players returning to practice Wednesday, but indicated it is unlikely, "The process almost doesn't allow them to practice Wednesday. So unless something changes tomorrow, it's more that way."
The news was better on Safety Kam Chancellor, who limped off the field late in Sunday's win.
"He got kicked," Carroll said. "He got a thigh bruise. He should be fine."
Carroll said he is hopeful that defensive tackle Jason Jones (ankle) and receiver Braylon Edwards (knee), who have both missed the past two games, will both return this week.
Also, Carroll said no decision has yet been made on activating Walter Thurmond off of the physically unable to perform list. Thurmond, who broke his leg last season and suffered a setback in March, must be added to the active roster, released or placed on injured reserve by next Monday. And if you're reading that and thinking, "wait, I thought this Monday was the deadline," well you're not alone. I thought that too, so did a lot of folks, but as it turns out, the Seahawks have 21 days from when Thurmond returned to practice to make a decision, not three weeks from when he was eligible to come off PUP after Week 6. Since Thurmond didn't start practicing following Week 6--he returned a week later after the team's loss in San Francisco--the 21-day window expires next week.
