Mariners claim outfielder off waivers

The Seattle Mariners announced Tuesday they gave clained outfielder Scott Cousins off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays.
With the addition of Cousins, the Mariners' 40-man major-league roster now stands at 37 players (see attached roster).
Cousins, 27, split last season between Class AAA New Orleans and the Miami Marlins. With the Marlins he appeared in 53 games, batting .163, with four doubles, one triple, one home run and three RBI. He played all three outfield positions for the Marlins.
With New Orleans Cousins batted .296 in 61 games.
The Blue Jays claimed him off waivers in October.
