For the second consecutive year, the Marysville Arts Coalition, Marysville Parks and Recreation Department and local businesses have coordinated the project that lets families, service clubs and other organizations show off their artistic holiday spirit.
A total of 65 wreaths were sold last year during the project that raises funds for promoting art opportunities in the city. Those wreaths and about 20 newly decorated pieces will be installed on light poles throughout the city beginning the week before Thanksgiving. They will be displayed throughout the Christmas holiday.
"We were limited on how many we could sell because the city only has so many poles that will hold them," said Beckye Randall, chairwoman of the Marysville Arts Coalition.
At least 10 cutouts are available to buy, Randall added. The blank 39-inch plywood wreaths cost $30 and are available at E&E Lumber, 1364 State Ave., and North County Outlook's office, 1331 State Ave. B.
Decorated wreaths must be returned by Nov. 20 to the administrative office at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Road. For more information about the wreath project call 425-308-4176 during business hours or go to www.facebook.com/MarysvilleArts.
