Everett CC, Edmonds CC volleyball teams to break tie tonight

Two victories over Edmonds weren't enough for the Everett Community College volleyball team.

If the Trojans are going to keep their season alive, they're going to have to beat the Tritons a third time.

The two teams tied for the Northern Division's fourth and final berth into next week's Northwest Athletics Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) tournament. They are scheduled to break the deadlock tonight, with a 7 p.m. match at the Everett CC Fitness Center.

Each team posted a 4-8 mark in division play during the regular season. Everett defeated Edmonds in both of their meetings this fall, though it wasn't easy -- both matches went the full five sets.

The winner of tonight's contest advances to the 16-team NWAACC tournament, which begins Nov. 15 at Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore.

Admission for tonight's match is $5. Students with college ID get in free.
