JUNEAU, Alaska -- Juneau police say they arrested a 25-year-old woman at the Juneau International Airport on suspicion of transporting $110,000 in heroin after a return flight from Seattle.
Jessica Beck faces a second-degree drug misconduct charge.
The Juneau Police Department says in a release that the Juneau resident was arrested at about 9:20 a.m. on Thursday as she was returning from Seattle.
The release says narcotic investigators obtained a search warrant and found two hidden packages on Beck that contained approximately 111 grams of a substance that field tested positive as heroin.
The substance will be sent to the Alaska Crime Lab in Anchorage to confirm that it was heroin and to determine the exact weight of the drugs.
Beck was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
