Young people are always looking for their identity.
This Schack Art Center exhibit helps Edmonds Community College students find theirs.
Schack is featuring “Creation of Identity,” an exhibit of artwork by Edmonds Community College students in the Visual Arts department.
This group of students is diverse in age and interests and includes artists and nonartists, though both groups are studying the creative process, as well as working toward their degrees.
EdCC’s Visual Arts department is a collaboration of the art, photography and visual communication departments. These students, as well as those in the Art Club, present works that they have created in their courses.
The exhibit is guest curated by Cynthia Campbell, EdCC Visual Arts programmer.
An opening reception is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibit is up through Dec. 3 in Schack’s Emerging Young Artists’ Gallery. For more information go to www.schack.org.
