Fall Turkey Shoot
The Granite Falls Sportsmen’s Club’s 80th annual Fall Turkey Shoot is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at 20319 Gun Club Road.
Novice to experienced shooters can try using shotguns to hit clay turkey targets. Games are $4 each or $22 for five games and a guaranteed win. Prizes include frozen turkeys and bacon. Bingo games, a raffle and door prizes are planned as part of the event.
Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted for the Granite Falls Food Bank.

First concert with new director: The Everett Youth Symphony Orchestras have a lot to blow their horns about these days.
They are about to hold their first concert of the second season with new music director Wesley Schulz at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Northshore Christian Church and Academy, 5700 23rd Drive W., Everett. Tickets are available at the door. They cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 15 and younger.
The EYSO also has a new outreach program this year called the Artist In Residence Series. This series along with the Masterclass Series brings nationally known artists to Everett. Emma McGrath, assistant concertmaster for the Seattle Symphony, is the first artist in residence. The goal of the masterclasses is to give participants access to live performances, workshops and interactions with artists of superior talent and ability.
The masterclass begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 215 Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. It is free and is open to the public.
