It’s been eight years since the Dance Theatre of Harlem was in Seattle. The troupe returns to Seattle this weekend with a program that includes the world premiere of “Far But Close” and the Seattle premiere of “Contested Space,” choreographed by Seattle’s Spectrum Dance Theater artistic director Donald Byrd. Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrates 43 years as a leading dance institution.
It performs at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., Seattle. Tickets start at $25. Go to www.stgpresents.org.
