King's vs. Montesano

When: Today, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Stewart Field, Aberdeen
Records: King's 6-0 Cascade Conference, 11-0 overall; Montesano 5-1 Evergreen League, 9-2 overall
Webcast: KSTVonline.com

Scouting report on Montesano

How it got here: Tucker Ibabao rushed for four touchdowns as Montesano defeated Charles Wright 31-21 last week in the first round of the 1A state tournament.

Player to watch: Tucker Ibabao, RB. The running back is the Bulldogs' most explosive runner out of the backfield. He had four touchdowns in last week's game, and also found the endzone in Montesano's 47-0 district playoff win against Castle Rock.

Biggest win: Montesano 70, Rainier 0. This week eight contest was literally Montesano's "biggest win," with the Bulldogs routing Rainier by a season-high 70 points. Key to the game: Last season, King's lost to Montesano in the quarterfinals of the 1A state playoff. In order for history to not repeat itself, the King's explosive offense is going to need to put up quite a few points while the defense needs to contain Tucker Ibabao. If the Knights do this, they should be able to avenge last year's loss.

Pick: King's 35, Montesano 21
