Jordyn Brougher photographed himself and friends at the gum wall in Seattle. "I love this picture because that day was so much fun and I love all these people," says Brougher.

For the past seven weeks, nine teenage students spent their Tuesday afternoons studying photography at the Everett Public Library with Promising Artists in Recovery, a program created through the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett. Every week students left class with 35 mm film cameras, going out to document everything from their daily lives to friends and family to themselves.
