91-year-old woman killed in Spokane house fire

SPOKANE -- The woman who died in a house fire in Spokane was a 91-year-old who had lived in the home since the 1940s.
KREM reported that neighbors tried to rescue the woman Friday evening and fought the fire with a garden hose, but flames were too intense.
A neighbor told KXLY the woman's son lives in the neighborhood and broke down a side door, but he was driven back by the smoke.
Firefighters found her body in the kitchen.
